Hand Painting

In this exercise we hand painted onto an

B+W film grain.

Today on wednesday the 18th of march we learned how to use and apply high iso film grain/noise to an image to follow the theme of old and new. 

first we put the image into black and white to make it look old already.

Then we added another layer on to this so we could fill the layer 

After we had done that we had to change the layer onto the overlay setting and add the noise filter onto the layer to add the grain. 

 

after all this has been done tis is the outcome

solarization experiment

solarizing an image is a really good experiment to do and going through solarization is a really easy process to do. These are the outcome images

denotation.

 what i see in this shot is  long exposure in a drake room with concentrated light pointed at the model (myself) from different angles. 

connotation.

this image to me represents the good and bad or yin and yang inside people. Meaning the good, the bad, the bad inside the good, the good inside the bad and balance.

appearance 

using a long exposure and a concentrated light source to create this image was relatively easy all i did was aim the light at myself, turn off the light and move position then repeat the process.
